Those farmers will have their loans waived by the state government whose names will appear on the list. Loans of up to Rs. 2 Lakh of farmers will be waived off under this scheme. On July 18, the first phase of the scheme was launched and the government has released Rs. 6034.97 crore to waive loans of up to Rs. 1 lakh for more than 11 lakh farmers. On July 30, in the second phase, the government released Rs. 6190.01 crore to waive loans between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh for more than 6 lakh farmers.

Under this scheme, financial loans are provided to the farmers so that they can improve their lives and live a better life.
