Building on this achievement, this scheme aims to provide 75,000 people with funding to start their businesses. The chosen applicants will be paid in two installments: Rs. 5 lakh for professional courses and Rs. 2 lakh for non-professional categories.
Candidates with four-year degrees in engineering, medicine, agriculture, veterinary medicine, or fisheries are considered professionals. All others are deemed non-professional candidates. The program demonstrates the state government’s dedication to creating a new age of Assamese entrepreneurship.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be an Assamese permanent resident.
- As on April 1, 2024, the candidate must be older than 28 but younger than 45.
- The candidate must have the minimal educational requirements listed below:
- General caste requires a Class X pass.
- For SC, ST, and OBC applicants, up to Class X is necessary.
- Candidates must possess the abilities, know-how, and expertise needed to carry out profitable endeavors.
- Before April 1, 2024, applicants must have opened a Scheduled Commercial Bank account.
- Candidates need to be currently registered with the Employment Exchange.
- Applicants must not have previously failed on any scheduled commercial bank loans.
- The program is only available to one member per home, including a spouse, wife, brother, or sister.

Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 Apply Online
