The Assam state government has launched the Abhinandan Scheme 2.0. To provide subsidies to all the families in the Assam state who have educational loans the Assam state government introduced the Abhinandan Scheme 2.0. With the help of this scheme, the financially unstable citizens of Assam state can pursue higher education without worrying about financial troubles. Under the Abhinandan Scheme all major banks, all commercial banks such as Federal Bank and HDFC are included. The online portal for the scheme will launch on 5 September 2024 on the occasion of Teachers Day. The students can apply for the Abhinandan Scheme 2.0 online by just visiting the official website.
About Assam Abhinandan Scheme 2.0
To provide subsidies to all the students who have educational loans of up to INR 1 lakh The Assam state government launched the Assam Abhinandan Scheme 2.0. If the students have taken a loan of INR 2 lakh they are eligible to receive a subsidy of up to INR 50,000 from the Assam state government. The students must have to pay 25% of their loan to become eligible to avail the benefits of Assam Abhinandan scheme 2.0. The students can achieve their dreams and build their careers with the help of the subsidy under the scheme.

Objective of Abhinandan Scheme 2.0
The main objective of launching the Abhinandan Scheme 2.0 is to help the students of Assam state pursue higher education from good institutes. The main purpose of this scheme is to help the students release the burden of outstanding loans. Under the Abhinandan 2.0 Scheme, the subsidy can be obtained only on loans taken from commercial banks like Federal Bank and HDFC and regional rural banks like Assam Rural Regional Bank. The students must have taken an educational loan Between the period from 1st April 2020 to the 14th March 2024. For the implementation of this scheme, The Assam state government has set up a total budget of INR 229 crore.

Eligibility Criteria
- The student must be a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
- The student must have taken their loans between 01 April 2020 and 31 March 2024.
- The students must have taken an educational loan.
- The studentโs parents must have an education loan of more than Rs 2 lakh.
- The student must have taken a loan from a commercial or rural bank, otherwise, he cannot avail of the benefit of the scheme.
- The bank has been recognized by the Reserve Bank of India.

Implementation Process
- The chief minister of Assam state Mr Hemant Biswa announced the launch of the Abhinandan Scheme 2.0 on the occasion of Teachers Day 5th September.
- The Assam state government wants to release the stress of all the students who have outstanding loans by launching this scheme.
- The eligible students must visit the Digital Infrastructure for DBT Schemes (DIDS) portal to avail of the scheme.
- State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC), Assam is designated as the coordinator for the purpose of implementation of the scheme. SLBC will coordinate with all banks/lending institutions covered under the scheme to promote and monitor the implementation of the scheme.

STEP 1: All the students of Assam state who clear the eligibility criteria must visit the official Abhinandan website and fill out the application form online to avail the benefits of the Abhinandan Scheme 2.0.
STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option called continue as guest.
STEP 3: Some questions will appear on your desktop screen the students must answer all the questions to clarify their eligibility.
STEP 4: Now the student must enter their mobile number and click on the option Request OTP.
STEP 5: Now the students must enter the OTP that they have received on the registered mobile number and click on the option next to go to the application form.
STEP 6: The application form will appear on your desktop screen the students must enter all the details that are asked and attach all the necessary documents.
STEP 7: After entering all the details the students must quickly review and click on the option submit to complete their process.
