Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the West Bengal Banglar Bari Awas Yojana, the applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria’s these are as listed below
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal, India
- Applicant must not have their permanent house in the state.
- Applicant must belong to a financially unstable background.
- Applicants with BPL ration cards are also eligible to apply.

- Applicants listed in the SECC 2011 BPL list can also apply.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family must not be more than Rs.1 lakh per annum from all sources.
Financial Benefits
- Under this West Bengal Banglar Bari Awas Yojana deserving residents receive financial assistance of Rs. 1,20,000 and Rs. 1,30,000 for (remote, unpopulated areas) in three installments for the construction of houses.
- In this first installment, Rs. 60,000 is given by the government at the beginning of construction of the house, and the second of RS. 50,000 is given at the middle of construction, and the rest amount of the installment will be paid after the completion of the housing project.
