Around 75000 beneficiaries will be selected for the second phase of the scheme. The beneficiary will be provided a capital amount to be used for Business Development. There are two categories of courses included in the scheme. The entrepreneurs will receive 5 lakh rupees for the professional course category and Rs 2 lakh for the non-professional course category. Entrepreneurs who have completed a four-year degree in the fields of engineering, medicine, agriculture, veterinary, and fishery come under the professional course category. This will provide an accelerator for the development of a new generation of entrepreneurs.
Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0
Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 was launched on 19th October 2024 by Assam CM. To create a new era of businessmen, 75000 beneficiaries will be identified under the scheme. The beneficiaries will be provided investment funds to help them carry on their businesses to the next level. The funds will range between two to five lacs depending upon the category of the entrepreneur. Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 better known as CMAAA 2.0 is an extension of the previously released CMAAA 1.0. Under the first scheme which was the flagship program, the chief minister of the Assam state distributed Rs. 510 crore to 25,238 budding entrepreneurs across the state.

The chief minister of Assam state has created Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 to provide new and improved opportunities for entrepreneurship development in the state. The capital amount provided under the scheme will help the students to develop much faster. It can be quite difficult for new businesses to secure funding. The development of the scheme will eliminate this problem at all costs. The main objective of the scheme is to promote entrepreneurship in the state and to make business development easy and accessible for all. Eligibility Criteria
- Entrepreneurs should be permanent residents of Assam.
- Entrepreneurs should be above the age of 28 years and below the age of 45 years as of 1st April 2024.
- For general category applicants, they must have passed class 10th successfully.
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, they must have studied up to class 10th.
- Entrepreneurs should have excellent skills and knowledge to generate income.
- Entrepreneurs should have a Scheduled commercial bank account, which has been opened before 1st April 2024.
- The applicant should not have defaulted on any loan taken from any scheduled commercial Bank in the past.
- Not more than one member from any household shall be eligible to be a beneficiary under this scheme. For the scheme, family means Husband, Wife, Brother, and Sister.
- Entrepreneurs should have a valid registration in employment exchange.
- The applicant must not have taken benefit of the flagship program previously which is CMAAA 1.0

STEP 1: A separate website has been created by the state government of Assam to help entrepreneurs register for CMAAA. You will first have to go to the official website of CMAAA by clicking on the link given here.
STEP 2: As mentioned on the official website, to register for CMAAA, entrepreneurs need to sign up. After visiting the official website, click on the Sign-Up option present on the menu bar.
STEP 3: A new page will open on your screen. You will now have to enter important information regarding yourself.
STEP 4: After successfully signing up on the official page, entrepreneurs will have to log in using their username and password. Make sure to keep your credentials safe and secure.
STEP 5: Now, you need to fill up all the necessary fields including permanent address, business details, etc. in the registration form under the CMAAA 2.0 tab. Make sure to enter the correct information.
STEP 6: Now to fill out the application form, people will have to pay the application fees. The payment is Rs.200 for the General Category and Rs.100 for the SC/ST/OBC Category.
STEP 7: Finally, an acknowledgment slip will be generated with the reference number. To confirm the registration, an SMS and email will also be sent to the beneficiaries.
